Portfolio
This web portfolio is drawn from work made since 1997, when I started shooting predominantly on 5x4. It was then I finally felt I was able to seriously do justice to my chosen subject matter of landscape. But in case you should think I take it all a little too seriously, I would like to point out that the some of the names for each portfolio group, or theme, are (at least partly) tongue-in-cheek. Anyone who has watched Jack Black's School of Rock on video as often as I have will understand the 'Rock Appreciation' reference. And Beach Ball could easily have been called 'Gneiss boulder' for fans of Shrek. As well as work, I still regard landscape photography as a form of recreation, or play. In any case, I hope the selection will show that quality of light is the heart of my work. Light-hearted you might even say...
