Rock Appreciation

If I couldn't have been a photographer, I'd love to have been a geologist. Rock speaks to me. I can't tell exactly what it is saying, but I hope I can translate some of its charisma through my pictures. My arts background has encouraged me to see rock as both sculptural and painterly. Philosophically, I feel that rock stands for wildness, the raw material of nature, the foundations of life. It was here long before us, and will be here long after we have gone. It is the most enduring subject of all.
